Athichudi

Atichudi is a book of justice composed by Auvaiyar who lived in the 12th century. Atichudi is made simple with small phrases so that children can memorize it at a young age.

​As a sign that the Tamil society gave importance to virtue, the traditional paddy schools and gurukulas were established at that time, Till the Macaulay education system which is followed today, the teachers have been practicing using Auvaiyar’s Atichudi in order to teach the vowels of Tamil while learning Tamil.
